Day 10: Mis information and a beers in the sun.

I've been in La Esperanza for 5 days now and it feels like an eternity! nothing happens in this town! i-to-i did their usual bang up job of giving us the wrong info and instead of working at a school 5 minutes from where I live, I have an hours walk OVER A MOUNTAIN to get to a rural school! OK, it's a small mountain, but in this heat it's knackering all the same.

The children are fantastic, really funny, they come and look at me all the time, just look then run away! there's another volunteer at the school with me, Richard who is to be honest quite annoying but it's good to have someone to talk English with!

My 'mother' here is funny, she's quite well off and has cable TV and a shower and a cooker so I'm doing quite well, loads of nice food and I haven't been ill yet (touch wood)

Gotta go now as I'm meeting the other volunteers for a beer in the sun - we all finish work at lunchtime, and I have Fridays off so it's not too bad.
